Pregnancy massage, also known as prenatal massage, is a wonderful and gentle alternate therapy for any expectant mother experiencing the incredible changes that her body is going through. Pregnancy massage is especially beneficial in the second and third trimesters, when the extra weight in your belly puts a strain on your back, causing various levels of pain and discomfort. Pregnancy massage can be performed on the table or in a chair, and is tailored to suit the clients needs and stages of pregnancy. Extra body cushioning and support is used to provide the utmost comfort for the client. Pregnancy massage is undertaken with gentle and smooth gliding strokes and no deep tissue work is incorporated. Pregnancy massage offer benefits similar to a relaxation massage.
